Jeanne, our warm and experienced massage therapist, is available at the Local to offer caring treatments for the whole family. She is trained in prenatal massage and also welcomes children, parents, grandparents... in short, anyone in need of a moment of relaxation.
One of Jeanne’s greatest strengths is her ability to adapt to your life as a parent.
Have a baby? You can keep them close during the massage, breastfeed if needed, or place them in the small crib set up right next to you.
Older child? They can stay in the adjacent room with our caretaker, remain with you, or even join in on the massage if they’d like.
In addition to individual treatments, Jeanne also offers baby massage classes. These workshops teach parents how to massage their baby in a gentle and welcoming setting. They can be booked as individual sessions (4 classes), scheduled around your availability, or as small seasonal group sessions (5 classes) — or more frequently, depending on demand. These are lovely opportunities to nurture parent–child bonding, soothe your baby, and support their development.
Intuitive, curious, and driven by a deep desire to care for others, Jeanne has found her true calling in massage therapy. Over the years, she has deepened her knowledge through diverse training and experiences in both France and Québec. She is certified in reflexology, sophrology, Californian massage, and seated Amma massage (ADNR Formations, France); prenatal massage (À Fleur de Peau, Montréal); pediatric massage (IFMQ); and holds instructor certification for baby massage through IAIM.
Her teaching background in primary and secondary education has cultivated in her a sensitive and attentive listening skill, which she now brings to her profoundly rejuvenating treatments. Jeanne adapts her touch to each person's needs—some prefer firm pressure, others a gentler approach. Jeanne adjusts beautifully.
