Our Organization

At Local Familial, everything is built with families, for families. The project was created and continues to grow thanks to the involvement of volunteers, parents, friends, and neighbors.

Our Governance

Local Familial is a non-profit organization managed by a Board of Directors and through Annual General Assemblies (AGMs). But above all, it’s the voice of families that matters most. The Local exists because of them, and every decision is inspired by their needs and ideas.

And of course, everything is possible thanks to volunteers—people who already have children, jobs, laundry piles, and everything else life throws at them, yet still find the energy to pitch in. (Yes, they truly exist!)

How you can contribute

We’re always happy to welcome new skills, talents, and ideas. Right now, we especially need:

  • Accounting and tax expertise – to help us understand whether, as an NPO, we might save on certain taxes.

  • Strategic advice – on how to grow stronger and function better as a community project.

  • Creative hands – to help with DIY projects, crafts, and making the space even more welcoming (we have so much potential in this area!).

But honestly? Whatever your background or know-how, there’s always a way to contribute.
